I hope everyone had a great Labor Day relaxing and having fun! We will have a four day week this week with a few schedule changes. We will have a different schedule Wednesday-Friday due to first grade's COGAT testing. Check out the schedule here.
I want to congratulate everyone who met their reading goal for the month of August. We had so many students meet their goal! Way to go and keep up the reading. We will write our new goal in our agenda on Tuesday. We will try to get 20 reading checks for the month of September. This means we will have to do some reading over Fall break but I know we can do it! Just to give you a heads up our picture day is next Friday 9/15. Information will be coming home soon. Today we updated our agendas for the month of September with events and specials. Take a Peak at our Week: Reading: How can asking and answering who, what, when, where, why, and how questions help us to better understand key details in a text? Spelling: What are open syllable words? ELA: What are common and proper nouns? How can I use them in my writing? Math: How can I find the value of a digit? How can I represent a number in different ways? Writing: How can you use every day moments to inspire your writing? What is revising and editing? Social Studies: What is government? Why do we need rules and laws?
